Welcome to Fast Forward, where we are dedicated to empowering young minds in the creative industries! Our post-16 Level 1 programs offer a dynamic range of courses tailored to nurture talent in studio recording, music production, songwriting, Ableton and Logic Pro X IT development, DJing, and sequencing in Digital Audio Work Stations. These accredited RSL courses are proudly supported by the government, ensuring high-quality education and recognition.
Our state-of-the-art facilities boast two fully equipped studios, a dedicated DJ room, and a spacious classroom designed to inspire creativity and innovation. Beyond structured learning, students have access to additional activities and downtime zones, fostering a well-rounded educational experience that extends beyond the classroom. At Fast Forward, we believe in unlocking the full potential of every student, providing the tools and support they need to thrive in the exciting world of the creative arts.

Post-16 Curriculum
Our curriculum gives students the opportunity to progress through a number of vocational units that make up the Level 1 Certificate and Diploma in the Creative Music Industry. Each qualification includes core units linked to projects and optional units that help them gain essential skills such as composing, recording, streaming and podcasting, arranging songs, collaborating with other artists and producers, and performance.
Learners can progress through the Level 1 Certificate and have the option to progress with further units to the Diploma with the aim of heading into both Further and Higher Education, building the knowledge and skills to work in the Creative Industries sector beyond education. As well as this, they will have the opportunity to complete and pass Level 1 and Entry 3 Functional Skills Math’s and English Qualifications to ensure smooth transition into further education.
Health & Safety
Our Health & Safety Policy is to provide adequate control of the health and safety risks arising from our work activities. We will consult with our staff on matters affecting their health and safety and provide and maintain safe use and equipment. We will ensure the safe handling and use of electric cabling, and provide information, instruction and supervision for employees and volunteers, and to ensure that they are competent to do their tasks. We will provide adequate training where necessary.
Our policy also is to prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill health, and to maintain safe and healthy working conditions. We also accept our responsibility for the health and safety of other people who may be affected by our activities.
This policy will be reviewed and revised as necessary at regular intervals. All policies are available on request from Fast Forward.

Post 16 Maths & English
Our Post 16 Maths and English offer caters for all levels of compotency creating a bespoke learning experience including Functional Skills Maths and English at Entry Levels 1–3 and Level 1 & 2, alongside GCSE options. Our sessions are designed to build confidence, strengthen core skills, and ensure every student meets the essential academic requirements for further education, apprenticeships, or employment.
