Safeguarding
Fast Forward Music
At Fast Forward Music, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where students can learn, develop, and thrive. Our team prioritises the well-being, safety, and personal development of every young person in our provision, ensuring that safeguarding is embedded in all aspects of our daily operations.
Our Commitment to Safeguarding
We take a proactive approach to safeguarding, ensuring that all staff are trained and fully aware of their roles and responsibilities in keeping students safe. Our safeguarding policies are regularly reviewed and updated in line with statutory guidance to reflect best practices.
Our provision works closely with local authorities, parents, schools, and external support services to ensure that students receive the appropriate care, guidance, and intervention when necessary.
Our Safeguarding Team
We have a dedicated safeguarding team that supports students with any concerns they may have. If you have any concerns about the safety and welfare of a student at Fast Forward Music, please contact a member of our safeguarding team immediately.
Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL): Steve Lee
Deputy Safeguarding Lead: Joe Hockham
Lead Tutor: Richard Douglas
Support for Students
We understand that young people may face challenges both inside and outside of our provision. Our mentorship programme, personal development sessions, and well-being support ensure that students have access to the help they need.
We also offer breakout spaces, allowing students to access a calm and supportive environment when required. Through Class Dojo, we track student engagement and well-being, fostering positive relationships between students, staff, and parents.
Support During Holidays
We recognise that school breaks can be difficult for some young people. If you or someone you know requires support during the holidays, we encourage you to seek help from available community services. For immediate safeguarding concerns, always contact emergency services or your local safeguarding authority.
At Fast Forward Music, safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. By working together, we can ensure that every student feels safe, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.
