Policies Updated for 2025/2026 School Year
Safeguarding & Child Protection (KCSIE Policy)
Updated in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (2025) and Working Together to Safeguard Children (Dec 2023).
Key updates: Definition of safeguarding, child-on-child abuse wording, online checks for staff, domestic abuse guidance, early intervention focus.
E-Safety Policy
Reviewed against KCSIE 2025 and DfE online safety guidance.
Streamlined into two formats: one for staff, and one for students/parents/visitors.
Safer Recruitment Policy
Updated in line with KCSIE 2025 and Safer Recruitment Consortium guidance.
New section: Retainment of data (unsuccessful applications – 6 months; successful applications – statutory retention).
Whistleblowing Policy
Reviewed against KCSIE 2025 and Public Interest Disclosure Act.
Clarified reporting routes internally and externally (including Ofsted/NSPCC).
RSE Policy
Updated in line with DfE RSE Guidance 2019, cross-referenced with KCSIE 2025 and Equality Act 2010.
Clearer role for external agencies and safeguarding escalation.
SEND Policy
Updated in line with SEND & AP Improvement Plan (2023) and 0–25 SEND Code of Practice (2015).
Incorporated Mental Health in Schools updates (DfE 2018, refreshed guidance 2023) and stronger links to Care and Support Plans/EHCPs.
Disciplinary Policy
Updated in line with ACAS Code of Practice 2023 and Employment Rights Act.
Aligned with safeguarding considerations and low-level concerns (per KCSIE 2025).
Code of Conduct Policy (Staff Behaviour Policy)
Updated in line with KCSIE 2025 expectations.
Strengthened around online conduct, professional boundaries, and reporting low-level concerns.
Staff Training & Development Policy
Updated to reflect statutory safeguarding training (KCSIE 2025).
Incorporates new requirements for governors/directors safeguarding training and continuous CPD in SEND and mental health.
LADO Referral Policy
Updated in line with KCSIE 2025 and Nottinghamshire/NCC LADO procedures.
Clear escalation pathway added for allegations against staff, directors, and contractors.
