Welcome to Fast Forward Music
Fast Forward Music is hosting two Post-16 Open Evenings for professionals, parents, and young people aged 16–19 who are exploring alternative Post-16 education options.
These evenings provide an opportunity to visit the provision, meet the team, and gain a clear understanding of how our Post-16 pathways support engagement, wellbeing, and progression for learners who may find mainstream settings challenging.

Both sessions will include a guided tour of the provision, an overview of our Post-16 offer, and time to ask questions in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Post-16 Curriculum
Our curriculum gives students the opportunity to progress through a number of vocational units that make up the Level 1 Certificate and Diploma in the Creative Music Industry. Each qualification includes core units linked to projects and optional units that help them gain essential skills such as composing, recording, streaming and podcasting, arranging songs, collaborating with other artists and producers, and performance.
Learners can progress through the Level 1 Certificate and have the option to progress with further units to the Diploma with the aim of heading into both Further and Higher Education, building the knowledge and skills to work in the Creative Industries sector beyond education. As well as this, they will have the opportunity to complete and pass Level 1 and Entry 3 Functional Skills Math’s and English Qualifications to ensure smooth transition into further education.
Health & Safety
Our Health & Safety Policy is to provide adequate control of the health and safety risks arising from our work activities. We will consult with our staff on matters affecting their health and safety and provide and maintain safe use and equipment. We will ensure the safe handling and use of electric cabling, and provide information, instruction and supervision for employees and volunteers, and to ensure that they are competent to do their tasks. We will provide adequate training where necessary.
Our policy also is to prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill health, and to maintain safe and healthy working conditions. We also accept our responsibility for the health and safety of other people who may be affected by our activities.
This policy will be reviewed and revised as necessary at regular intervals. All policies are available on request from Fast Forward.

Post 16 Maths & English
Our Post 16 Maths and English offer caters for all levels of compotency creating a bespoke learning experience including Functional Skills Maths and English at Entry Levels 1–3 and Level 1 & 2, alongside GCSE options. Our sessions are designed to build confidence, strengthen core skills, and ensure every student meets the essential academic requirements for further education, apprenticeships, or employment.
